Dear Tahoma Family,
The end of the school year includes a series of fun activities – and some last minute hard work for many students! We also want to pause and celebrate some of our accomplishments:
-US News & World Report awarded Tahoma a gold medal for college readiness! (read more below)
-The Class of 2018 is off to college! We celebrate our fourth graduating class of 60 seniors this Wednesday.
-Next year all of our mentors are returning for our rising 10th-12th graders. Their continued dedication is invaluable.
-We welcome Ms. Marisa Craig to our administrative team! With her mentor group graduating, she’ll transition from her role as mentor and Spanish teacher to become a Dean for our school, expanding the capacity of Mr. Stewart and Ms. Toyama to support teachers and students.
Here is essential information for this last week of school and for summer:

Annual Student Registration Day
Saturday, July 28
Every student continuing at Tahoma needs to complete annual registration each summer. Registration is due by July 28. You can complete registration in advance – online or at the office. Anyone who has not completed registration by July 28 is required to attend our Registration Day. We will email the registration packets in a few weeks and send you a reminder.
Camping Trip – Volunteer Drivers Needed
We rely on parent drivers to make this special trip happen. It’s a short, beautiful 60-minute drive to the tranquil Little Basin State Park. Parents are invited to stay overnight in a tent or cabin. We’re finalizing the date, which will be a Thursday and Friday in the first month of school. Please RSVP if you’re interested even if you aren’t 100% sure. We’ll notify you of the final date next week and share more information in July.
For the Thunderbirds!
