Tahoma offers a unique program including opportunities for students to experience what college is like. We need your support in order to continue these special opportunities.
AP courses and exams are a central part of Summit’s college readiness program, giving students the experience of learning at the college level. As part of setting high expectations, all of our 11th and 12th graders are required to take AP exams. Each exam costs the school $92 (we pay a discounted rate for students of low income). More information here. Please consider paying for the cost of your child's exams or making a donation to help SummitTahoma continue our tradition of AP tests for all 11th and 12th graders.
Each spring, our students travel together visiting colleges and universities. 10th and 11th grade went to Cal Poly, UCSB, UCLA, and LMU last month. 9th grade is going to UC Santa Cruz and Cal State Monterey Bay next week. Our faculty spends months planning for these trips to make them fun, educational, and economical. We ask each family to make a contribution on their child's behalf for the cost of the trip. We've asked families of 9th graders to contribute $40 if they can. We asked families of 10th and 11th graders to contribute $120. Your contributions help ensure we can continue these study trips!

-School Events (including study trips, prom, and graduation)
-College application fees (ensuring every senior can apply for college)
-AP testing (providing college credit for our students)
-Sports (helping Tahoma’s teams to represent our school with pride)
There are four ways you can contribute:
-Bring cash or check to our Operations Manager, Lupe Talamantes
-Through our online lunch payment system, if you have an account
-Through PayPal at summitps.org/donate
-Pledge to make monthly contributions
Every gift, whether modest or monumental, is appreciated!
